Guilherme Garrido: Guilherme works as a choreographer and a performing artist. He is interested in performance as a story telling by becoming a showman disguised in contemporary dance. His work always contains a warm and subversive humor. He is occupied with how does his personal history can be translated into body and movement and in interweaving the fragility and intimacy of relationships on stage. In the summer of 2008 he was the co-artistic director of Skite/Sweet and Tender Collaborations Porto 2008, together with António P. Lopes and Jean Marc-Adolphe. As a dancer he worked for Maria Clara Villa-Lobos in “Super!”, for Ibrahim Quraishi, “My Private Himalaya” and for Tommy Noonan in “Tout Court”. Since October 2007 he has been touring around Europe with “Still Difficult Duet” - a collaboration with Pieter Ampe. With Antonio Pedro Lopes they work in “I WANT MORE FANS YOU WANT MORE STAGE” had their first showing in May 2008 and they will work in 2010. Gui Garrido and Mia Habib have a duet called “ a couple dance” that premiered in the end of March of 2009 in Norway. He’s currently working with Pieter Ampe in their next duet “Still standing you” that will premiere in April 2010 in Belgium.
